Method "measure of evil eye"
This is an ritual made of a length of cloth or thread three hasta long (hasta = the length from elbow to fingertips). First, the cloth or thread is to be wrapped around a person's hand. Then a prayer (doa) is read and the cloth or thread measured. If the cloth measures less or more than the original measurement, the person is suffering from the evil eye of another and he shall be as before. If the cloth does not measure less or more, the person is not suffering from any illness caused by the evil eye of another. The prayer and charm begin in this way: Say: He is God the One and Only; God, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him.
